This is on my Winter ToDo list so this great timing. Thanks for letting us know. Love to hear any stories or pics from your installs.

These aren't mass air flow. Probably only good for a mildly built 302/351 correct?

Good question and something I was going to ask, would it work for a stroked 351, say a 408-427.

Good for 525 HP at the crank with the standard fuel kit. Also here is a tech piece on MAF vs MAP. We will be installing the MSD kit over the next few weeks. Stay tuned for results.

If there's lots of adjustability (user friendly adjustability) built into a speed density system you should be able to use it on almost anything within the limits of its fuel delivery capability. The problem with the old Ford SD systems is it wasn't really user friendly adjustable.

I really like the return less fuel line so I can keep my current WH 23 gallon non efi tank. Add in the quick install, new fuel pump, brand name, use standard air cleaner, etc. all makes this a sweet package. I am really close to PM'ing.

Unless things have changed the return less system is not gonna happen. Booger looked into this system when it first hit the market. He found that only under perfect conditions between like 70-86deg and not more than 1000' elevation and no more than like 50 crank horsepower was it a return less system. I do like the system and will be watching the install.

Good info! I'm excited for the WH install also. I think it would be a very good idea for them to ship a Colorado Classic Broncos member one of these kits to install and use for free in exchange for valuable feedback. I know someone building a 427W that wouldn't mind helping out:)

My friend and I just installed this in my rig. Actually the full MSD ignition/ Atomic EFI with return. My engine is a 302 stroked to 347CI and the Atomic keeps up just fine. Super easy to program, took away the majority of the gas smell and made the idle much smoother. First thing I did was drive from Chatty to Echo Lake to see how the EFI handled the elevation change, which was an issue with the carb. I could not tell a difference in performance at all across the 5000' elevation change and it fired right up at the top. I have not had it long enough to talk about improved gas mileage but I will update when I have.

Best part is with the lo-pro air cleaner you can still keep the original hood with no mod

I just want to make sure I understand the trade off of this kit vs a self rolled conversion.

This kit is in excess of $2k, but it bolts on fast and is designed to be easy to install and customize.

Self rolled requires u-pull-it parts, harnesses, programming, lots of learning, and lots of time, but winds up substantially cheaper.

Correct?

Correct. Complete setup like this is a heck of a lot easier as long as the adjustability is there to get it set up correctly. I'm watching Steve's setup to see how his works and might try that one but this Atomic kit looks sweet and on my short list for EFI.

Bob....having gone back to the original chip, I have had no issues at all. The stalling at stops has subsided and was apparently due to it being too lean. Haven't really pressed it, or had it at altitude, but so far so good. It does appear to hunt for an idle a LITTLE after running a while, but that is almost nit picking. I need to get it up in the hills and see what it does.

Glad to hear that steve. One other thing we can try is to reset the base idle speed again. But I think the tight torque convertor is whats causing the issue. When you drop it in gear and you get a few hundred rpm drop, the idle air controller is trying to make it idle at 850rpm yet the torque converter pulls it lower. So it "hunts" to find that rpm again.
