PM's and e-mails

Postby D&D72 » Tue Jan 13, 2015 10:21 am

More often than not Pm's are not showing as "read" or still showing in the out box. and I get e-mail responses that I have a new PM but, no PM on the site is evident. anyone else have this happening?

Messages will continue to show in the outbox until the recipient has read them.

Emails about PMs with no PMs is crazy though. Are you checking the messages on Tapatalk or on the site itself?

Have you exceeded your allowed number of messages? This can cause your new messages to be put on hold until you clear out your inbox.

I'm at about 40% on messages. usually when it gets too full I'll be notified as to such.
here's an example. I messaged jtsbronc, he read it and responded. the message he read is still showing in my outbox, nothing is in my inbox although he did respond..... I only know this because of notification e-mails. this is all on the actual website. I gave up on tapatalk a while ago.
I'll clear out my messages and see if it makes a difference.

I'll start digging and see if I can find any answers. And if anyone else is having a similar issue, please chime in.

Did he reply directly via email, or through a PM to you?

You can read the message in the notification email, without even visiting the site & looking at the PM (therefore on the site, the message is still sitting in your outbox). In this example, your message is included in the notification email JT received. He can then reply directly to you via email, again without even visiting the site.

I've had a few conversations start as PMs, and continue as private emails, and the PMs sat in my "out box" for quite some time.

Chad, it was a PM but with a e-mail notification-that was sent from ccb website that I had a PM. the PM wasn't there. The PM that I sent to jtsbronc does not show as read ( still shows in the outbox) but he did read it and reply as previously mentioned. is that clear as mud or what? Its really not a huge deal because I do get the email notifications. just kinda a hassle…..

I think I understand.

The situation I have had, is not "missing" PMs, but PMs that are sitting in my 'outbox'. The recipient actually reads the PM via the notification email, not the PM itself, so its never read according to CCB and remains in my 'outbox'. More muddy?

LOL yes! Mine remains in the out box but, he replied to it as a PM and an e-mail was automatically sent by the web site stating exactly that.
I should also mention the e-mail does provide a link to CCB to view the PM.
