Moving help- June 8th

Postby akaFrankCastle » Sun Apr 28, 2013 10:13 pm

Yeah, sounds exciting doesn't it?

We close on our house on 31 May. Unfortunately, I will be indisposed before that and unavailable to assist Frau Castle in the move. Thought I would reach out and see if anyone might be interested in lending a hand in the move. My dad will be coming to town that weekend to help. And I have a work buddy, who will not be gone, who has volunteered his services as well.

Everything will be packed up prior to the 8th, so no awkward moments of "uh, you want to put this stuff in a box?". Scheme of maneuver is: Frau Castle will be at the house. Frau Castle's mother at the apartment. This set up works best to control Kinder Castle and Castle Cats; and If we can get a few trucks, a few guys at the apartment loading, a few at the house unloading, and shuttles running between the two places. But what am I saying, I'll be gone and plans are only a basis for change.

Plan on a pile of donuts for breakfast, pizzas for lunch.

One additional piece to this is the storage unit. Emptying this in to one side of the garage will save us some good coin during my absence, so we would like to try and accomplish this too. (I have a full inventory of Bronco parts, so no sticky fingers. :laughing2: )

So, if anyone might be able to lend a hand, would be much appreciated.

Wish I could be there to help...

I do not envy you, or Frau Castle rather.

Same answer as kinder. I'm game, just not sure what I have going on. If I haul the seats out of the wife's minivan it'll hold a ton as well.

Yeah - why not?

Depending on yet to be scheduled events that may or may not take me away from the doughnuts and pizza - I'm in.

Are you leaving CO or just relocating? Have a GMC truck with cover. If nothing is happening, could lend a hand as well. Have a hand truck as well. Is moving day just on the 8th or around that time?
