Re: 9" with 5 4.5 axles. 58 " or so Explorer 8.8s are just about perfect. 31 spline axles, disk brakes w/parking brake. You can shorten the long side and use 2 short side axles if you need it narrower than stock. I think they are around 61" or 62" wide.
