Benelli or Beretta shotgun

Postby Eck » Wed Feb 15, 2017 9:43 pm

I know there is a wealth of experience and knowledge on here in regards to guns. I am in the market for a semi-auto or over/under 12 gauge and am looking for either a Benelli or Beretta. Would prefer to find a used one in good condition so I can get more gun for the money. I am not in any hurry to get anything but want to start keeping my eyes and ears open.

Any suggestions on where to look or the best way about getting a good deal?

How the gun fits is important. I found that the Beretta 686 over and under was the best for me. I like simplicity of the over and under style. Every thing but the lack of money. I just keep buying EB parts.

Start checking out Cabela's. They do used guns. At a minimum you should be able to handle both and narrow down your selection.

Mostly trap and sporting clays but potentially water fowl down the road.

I would look at a Benelli or on the cheap a Remington 1100 good all round sport gun. Full choke ok for duck not really long enough for geese. The 1100 is a durable field gun and with a little internal polishing is a smooth operating gun

Check out the Franchi Instinct O/U, I believe they are made by Benelli, a little less $ and they are sweet!!

Well, I stopped by Cabellas on my way home from the Bronco Breakfast and ended up finding a Franchi Affinity 28" 12 gauge for a pretty good deal. Thanks for the recommendations.
