Latest tracker looks like the racer is headed to loreto and the chase is a little ways behind. Hope they got some rest!

My original estimate of 1hr for chase truck to arrive was way off based on the tracker. They apparently had to go way around to get to the race.

They just made it to loreto under their own power! 12hours after. Chase truck didn't get to them till midnight.

I hope they replaced that radius arm- couldn’t have been a smooth ride with that thing bent up like that!

Glad it drove back ok! Wow! Interesting that passenger side radius arm bent, but it's drivers side centering pin that sheared. But with damage to the drivers side fender, it must have done more than just flop!

So any updates? I see both racer and chase are in Loreto, so what does that mean for the stage to La Paz?

I can't wait for all the stories!

They did stage and are currently running stage 4. Not sure if they replaced the radius arm. Those guys have to be tired but they are not quitters.

I guess they hit a big rock which caused the endo.

Some great pics on that site! I've been on there before.

Tracking update: Both appear to be stopped in a small town just south of Checkpoint 3.

Oops, just checked again and appears the racer is headed down the course!

A lot of racers are reporting sand and silt as they cross the line at the end of the stage, and the gps shows the bronco stopped a bunch. Keep digging boys!

To me, it looks like they hit the rock dead on with right side and the rear bucked up and then they landed on left front corner and then end over

Total speculation on my part

They went off a ledge moving quick. Nose first then over. Cage works. Busted a centering pin and mangled steering linkage. Getting there required a 100 mile trip. Lots of it Offroad at 10mph. It was around 5 AM when we got going to Loreto. ImageImageImage

2. At least you got to see a lot of Baja
3. It’s awesome you guys were able to get it back on the road and everyone was safe
4. Is Chris looking for a pair of clean shorts with that flashlight?

They made slow progress yesterday and ended up losing the radiator just outside LaPaz. They are hopeful to find something that will work so they can make the 11:18 start today. These guys never give up.
