Subscribing because this is a dream of mine. That 408 made me giggle. Do the class rules state you have to use stock arms for front suspension? Great work, keep it up!!

No they don’t but the spirit of the class is more stock.

Loving the 408! Was planning on having one built for my crawler, you mind if I ask who you used? I am seriously considering a NORRA build now also, I practically have another Bronco except a tub.

Finally seeing the end of the tunnel on the drivetrain and suspension. Thanks to Jason (toolman) for all the help on saturday and MIke (Nascar) on sunday we had a productive weekend knocking out a bunch of little stuff that added up to getting the drivetrain dropped in for one of the last times and starting on the body panels to prep them for primer.

Swapped the stock motor mounts for HD mounts. Installed the custom torque converter, flexplate and engine/trans plate. Leveled things out and installed both driveshafts. Also threw the headers on as I will be trying my hand at building an exhaust system to save some $$$ - those pieces should be here soon. Hopefully will get a little further along but besides the exhaust and some wheels/tires its ready to go off to Jason to have the cage built.

I need to shoot some more photos here soon, i know frame photos are getting old :)

Lots of progress because of a bunch of phenomenal Colorado Classic Bronco members. What started as a just put the body on Turned into a “what else can we install”. Needless to say it’s more than ready to head off to the Jason tomorrow. Exceeding all expectations.

74 Baja Race Bronco - Baja or Bust

Postby Eck » Tue Nov 27, 2018 11:37 pm

Ohhh yah!! Other than the obvious rear most shoehorn tie in to the frame, what other points are tying into it? Looks like the 2 furthermost front points. Anywhere else?

Not really. Front will be tied into cage as well but just four points in the people compartment.
