The issue with H1 wheels are getting the inserts (plastic or magnesium). And recentering them so they don't contact your steering links. You can get cheap wheels all day long, but the inserts are pretty expensive as is recentering them. That's what a lot of people don't follow thru when they realize the work involved and for just about the price of Brand X beadlocks. Then you have the seal between the two halves.

I agree they look cool. If you do go this route, also look into welding some round rod into the outside bead to stiffen them. I hear they bend pretty easy from a side impact.

Recentering is a concern. From what I understand I can compensate with 2" spacers until that happens. For now I'm just looking for beater wheels to get things mocked up. I figure by the time I actually get around to running this thing, I will have taken care of the recenter/instert issues. I hadn't heard about the bending issues. I've beaten the hell out of some H1 wheels, tires, and trucks in the past with no issues so I'll do some more research to see how much I should be concerned.
