Creeper upgrades

Creeper upgrades

Postby Jesus_man » Wed Nov 16, 2022 9:38 am

I must be getting old. I recently bought a new HF floor creeper. A couple weekends ago I did some maintenance on my TDI and bronco and by the end of the day, my backside and shoulders were sore from where there was the most body pressure on the creeper. My old creeper was padded and apparently, I need that.

So, looking for ideas on how to accomplish this goal. Do you think a nice thick yoga mat would work? Is there something equally as squishy that is more robust or chemical resistant? I am not sure how I would go about fastening the mat to the creeper either. My plan would be to cut to fit, but then should I just spray adhesive or drill holes and zip tie or...??

Thanks!

I saw those on amazon. Intriguing to be sure, but I think I prefer still to roll around.

I think I'll just order a cheap 1" thick yoga mat. Just have to figure out how to attach it to the creeper. And then make sure it's not too comfortable that I fall asleep!
