2019 Resolutions

2019 Resolutions

Postby Eck » Mon Dec 31, 2018 10:30 am

My resolution for 2019 is to see more of Colorado in my Bronco. Last year I was fortunate enough to spend 2 weeks in Baja with a number of Bronco enthusiasts and when I got back, I think I only went out for one day of trails near Buena Vista.

My goal is to see 5 new trails I haven’t been on this year. I would love to have some like minded company!!

What is your Bronco resolution for 2019?

Great topic. I'd like to just make mine drivable again. It's super close. I need to get the new rear seat I got in September put in. I need to think seriously about a cage. I really want Digger's cage. I might need to rebuild the power steering box. Other than that, I think it could be driven regularly while I save to get other things done like gears, 351, etc.

For us less drama, no house siding, no septic issues, no loosing to big oil, no injured dogs, no job changes, no Bronco motor problems, no roof damage to hail. That was 2018 in a nut shell
For 2019 I want to get the little Cardinal camper up into the hills pulled by the bronco, get more body work done on the brown bronco (Henry), find the floor in my shop. That is just top of my head in bronco land.
There is still yard to be replaced (septic) ,roof to be installed, house, garage, shop, potting shed, tractor shed and boat shed (hail) and the cam timing problem in the bronco motor.
HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

Fix a bunch of stuff on the bronco and make it reliable. And after that I'd like to do the same as Mike. See more of Colorado. I have been hanging out with my buddy and the jeep club he's in for that reason. They hit the trails every other weekend and just pick a trail and go. many of them they have never done.

I really miss doing week end trips here in CO with the CCB group.

I would really like to get back in the groove but have a few minor things to get done on mine before spring.

Sand dunes is still on my wish list, that is a must this year.

Longer term, my next big adventure trip will be Rubicon. I would like to get a group of us together for that for 2020 (or 2021 depending on Chaney.........no pressure dude)

Let’s get out there !

Let me see what happens to my contract towards the end of May/June, if I'm still living the dream here in Vietnam I can be shotgun/mechanic for someone. I'll keep you all up to date.

My Bronco resolution is to have it completed before spring, and yes the wife and I will be up for running all the CO trails in the new ride!
So far its been a long 17 months but I'm getting close to finish line.

My goal last year was to have my Bronco running and to drive it at least 500 miles. (I made it in October) This year its to hit the trails and to get to more club events in the Bronco.

I didn't really make a resolution this year. But I would like to get out and wheel a bit more this year as well. Hit some mid-west areas that I have not yet and perhaps even a cool event (Townsend??).

Rubicon and Dusy Ershim are on my bucket list as well, but I don't see me doing that all the way from IL. However, we will be moving Spring of 2020 so perhaps we will move further west making CA more achievable!
