All because of a wiring harness and a Ford ignition module!

After a week from hell at work you're on your way home after working all day and then helping dan with his truck and you get a flat. A flat in one of your brand new less than 200 mile tires. Now to see if it can be repaired or if I gotta shell out another 250 bucks for one. Also to add to that list the ferd needs new glow plugs. Found 2 bad ones.

That is true. We were really looking forward to going on the Chinaman Gulch wheeling trip this weekend, but that is seriously doubtful. It would take a minor miracle for that to happen now... Have to souse the engine, finish pulling the old one, then install the new one... and the PS is leaking like a sieve recently as well.

On the bright side, we will have plenty of room to see where it is leaking from now...

A carb engine swap is only a couple hours of work for 3 or 4 guys. Find the engine and we can make it happen.

That is awesome guys, still looking for the engine. Guy in Longmont and I keep missing eachother. Plumbdr has mentioned that he might have one but I have yet to work out those details either.

If I can get my grimy paws on a functional motor today or tomorrow, we will for sure be having a motor install party here in the shop.

I will let you know how things work out.

Not many things suck in my opinion, but I finally found one. When you work really hard to build something unlike anything else out there only to see a fabrication shop copy the design almost to a T! Then when you call them on it they deny every bit of it and claim it is nothing alike. That is pathetic. If he had said: wow, that is extremely similar... I guess great minds think alike. Or something like that I would have been fine with it, but to flat out deny it. Very sad.

Rant off.:)

Stealing someone elses design is pathetic. Besides, we all know who is the O.G. who designed the original.

That does suck, it sucks bad enough, you have to keep your doors closed until the project is finished. Not much fun when others cant come up with their own ideas.

You're ball mount? Seems trailers are easy targets., Lock your ramps up and anything that can be moved. My cousin even had his whole trailer stolen. He saw the perps using it a week later and followed them. Called the cops and got it back, but you can't be too careful. I need to figure out a way to lock my ramps down.

That does suck and it seems to be more recurring.

It sucks driving home from school only to find my regular route jammed up because of bridge construction ( I think) 2 days in a row. SB 270 all of the way from I25. I detoured through Commerce city.

Yes!! Our pumps shut off at $100, but I usually have to swipe it again and proceed to get an additional .5 gallons in! Not even worth my while!

I've had to do that with my Bronco but it holds about 33 gallons between the 2 tanks.

The Love's station on 25, just outside the gate, caters to a lot of big trucks so no issues for me with the 100.00 limit. Diamond Shamrocks are a different story. 100 and it taps out. I think it is station dependent.

As for what sucks...
Last weeks I got new shoes for the Ferd in. 37x12.5x16.5 Goodyear Wrangler MTRs. Same tires as they are putting on the Humvees now. Got them through a military surplus guy in Kansas. Took them in Saturday to have them mounted and balanced as the machines they have at the DIY shop on Carson don't have the ass to get the job done. 10 minutes in to the mount and balance the tire guy tells me "you've got a hole in this tire". 10 minutes later, "there's a hole in this one too". By the time they were done I had 4 of 5 tires with impact punctures or cut sidewalls. ONE TIRE made it on a wheel. Needless to say I was quickly on the phone with the supplier and should have new tires here by the end of the week. Guess I am running slicks for the upcoming snow storm of the week.

sucks to be the students late to class when you have to actually punch a time clock. Sucks even more because its time on your attendance and affects hiring procedures, and sucks if you end up timing out of the block and have to retake the whole block. Glad it has not been me. But sucks to be you! laughing2
