 Ring gear pattern Tell me if this pattern looks good. This is my first time rebuilding a rear gear. New USA Gear set (4:11), back lash .006-.016 set at .011.
I ask because I just put it together and set back lash, then checked gear pattern and got what I see as a good pattern.
Pinion is set at 14 inch pounds.

Re: Ring gear pattern This was the pattern on mine when it was built. 17 years and 140,000 miles, no problems so far.

Re: Ring gear pattern x2 So I adjusted the pinion out some and got these patterns. They look better in person.
