Does anyone in the group rebuild carburetors? Or does anyone know of a good place that they trust to have their carburetor rebuilt?

Hard to tell what kind of a 4bbl it is, but maybe an old carter or ? If it’s along those lines toss it, I’ll donate an old Holley I have to the cause.

From what I can tell, that’s the flame-o-matic, from the maker of super bass-o-matic 76.

Dons Carburetor in Arvada. I’ve had them rebuild and tune two for me in the last year. I think the owners name is Mike. Good reasonably priced work.

It’s off a parts rig so I’d throw a kit at it, you pay for the kit & I’ll rebuild it. I’ll get you a pic and model number so you can decide if you’d like to pursue it.

The more I think about this pic I think you should verify the timing as best as you can, try retarding it a bit.

LOL!!! This picture was on the 1st startup, months ago when we were pouring gas into the carb because the fuel pump was CaPut!
