Super Celebration West 2021

Postby phyler » Sun May 30, 2021 7:22 pm

Thought there should be a thread on this. Just booked our site back at the KOA (Tues through Sunday). Looks like there will be RV camping at the field this year but wanted hookups.

Will be fun to see what it can be this year without the covid-19 crazy.

Whose planning on going?

Already made reservations, etc. and planning to be there. With any luck we might have the wife's new Bronco also.

I'll probably come up for the day again. There's a small chance I'll combine it with a second day of fishing in the area.

I'll be there Thursday for sure. If you want to ride along in the 2021 Bronco ("45 minute ride along in the wild" it said) sign up now before all the spots are gone. Weekend is full already, I signed up for the 9th.

You apparently have to have a Bronco order reservation number to sign up.

Speaking of Super Cel, who still has stuff to fix on their rigs? I need to install the new front suspension plus figure out there leak in my power steering box. Front suspension work starts Friday night or Saturday morning.

Now would be a great time to drill and tap a drain hole in the housing.

Wish I could join the ARB party and anxious to see what you guys find on yours.

I have a drain hole already. Just didn’t drain ahead of time because I planned to just let it drain out once I cracked the seal. I had moved the drain pan out of the way when I pushed the floor jack in.

See my other post about what we found. Not ideal!

Dang that stinks. Seems like they would want new customers to sign up after riding in the new Bronco. I would message Ford to ask about that. Hope you got the arb fixed!

Good news is I am ready. Replaced the bushings on the 4 link with ballistic joints and heims. Much better ride. Just a few small things I want to do but not required. I have the whole week off work to spend up there.

We will also be heading over to the west slope after Super Cell, doing the whole Ouray, Telluride and Silverton area. If others are headed that way maybe we can meet up and do a run or two.

We've had a couple of cancellations at our large ABNB, so we've got a couple of rooms to fill if anyone is interested. One queen bedroom, and one room with 2 twins. This is in a large house shared with other CCB members.

I thought I heard that they are doing street cruises and that trail rides will be organized through the Colorado Early Bronco group. You will go to the groups tent and sign up there. That will be for anything off-road. I could be wrong though but I thought I saw something about that over at classicbroncos.com.

Saw on CB.com:

Street rides will be like last year - times and destinations will be posted as part of the event. The trail rides will be handled a little different this year - they will be handled by the Colorado Classic Bronco Group. Sign up will be at the Club tent and the Club will be providing volunteer trail guides.

For other trails not listed (like Holy Cross City) people can get together in groups to organize a trail ride. Check with the Club to see if any Club member may be willing to guide if no one in the group is familiar with the trail selected. There are some great trails in the area. Holy Cross, already mentioned, Grizzly Lake, Iron Chest, Hancock Pass, Alpine Tunnel, are just a few.

WH just posted a video for those who don't subcribe:
https://youtu.be/F0Q7zfmR53I

I see some familiar broncos in there!!
1973 Bronco, 351 SEFI, Locked, discs, 35's ZF-5spd and Atlas 4spd. 235:1 Crawl Ratio. It may be ugly, but it's slow.
