Caribou

This was a fun article about Caribou. This is a ghost town up by Nederland. I grew up 4 wheeling in this area. Lots of history.

That's really cool. There's a book called 4WD adventures Colorado that has trails, but also explains a lot of the history along the way!
1973 Bronco, 351 SEFI, Locked, discs, 35's ZF-5spd and Atlas 4spd. 235:1 Crawl Ratio. It may be ugly, but it's slow.

I have the Wells books but will need to check that one out.

There is an old trail up there that is closed now that we use to drive on back in high school. About 200 hundred yards into the forest was this old ruins of a cabin. It has this massive wall. We would camp at the base of the wall next to the creek. I made my family hike back into it a few years ago. Image
