Let me be the first!

Let me be the first!

Postby Friday » Mon Jan 02, 2023 11:15 am

Well, day two of the new year. I wanted to wake CCB from the lack of posts and say Happy New Year! I've hatched a plan to get my bronco back together this year. Not a new years resolution, because we know how those work! Anyway, here's to a fantastic 2023 for this Bronco community.

If you have the parts but not the time we could always host a work day to get the year started off right.

I need to do this to motivate me on my transmission swap. Have everything, just need to find a Saturday or Sunday and motivate myself.

Here here! Know too many people who had a rough 22. Keep the faith Tim!

I need to regear, but I won’t be able to help until the summer probably.

Adam,

I know a guy who has at least two ZF5 swaps under his belt and could lend a hand.

Tim,

Do you plan to re-gear with the axles in the Bronco or pull them? The 9 inch is easy enough to pull the diff but the 44 is a bit tricky in the rig, but doable. Either way, in or out, there is some grunt work to be done and then we can set up a tech day. I’m happy to help with both, a bit of prep then I can bring my diff specific tools to set up the gears. Let me know when you are ready and we’ll talk about basic items needed to be successful.

To be honest I don’t have a plan yet. I’ll get out of the hospital in a few weeks and be under pretty tight restrictions until Aprilish. Who knows when I’ll actually feel like doing some labor.

I have all the parts minus the cross member but I'm planning to have to make that.

I'd be down for some help in late winter, spring, or early summer. I have lots of parts to install and the bronco is in an enclosed trailer and ready to roll anywhere along the FrontRange.
