Post A little networking....
Anyone in the towing business or have access to junk cars or trucks? I'm not looking for parts, I need some cars to cut up.

Thanks for any assistance.

I'm sure a towing yard would take them off of your hands for no charge. If you can find or rent a trailer, I have an F250 and can tow them to where ever you want. FYI, I am doing an equipment install over the next couple of weeks and am limited to my time off. Just let me know your requirements and we can "gitrdun"!

76fordbronco, thank you for the offer, but I'm not looking to get rid of cars...I need 2-3 cars from a towing company / salvage yard to use as a training prop to be cut up.

I've called several towing companies, but no one has any to donate for training. I guess the price of steel is up.

I guess that's what happens when you get up for work at 2 AM! Anything I can do to help, except off the wife's 02' 4runner as a donor, I'd be more than willing.

75,
I don't know if this will help or not, but...
All of the fire services located in El Paso county have an agreement set up with UPullandPay here in COS to get cars for training. UPAP provides them with cars, in "as acquired" condition, and the fire services either drop them off at the completion of training or UPAP picks them up. The only stipulations in place are the cars can not be looted for parts before or after training. Typically, they seem to get low demand parts cars which would net the yard very little in profit, but still give them something in a scrap steel price.

If you'd like, I can talk to the fire services guys on Fort Carson tomorrow or Tuesday, get all the particulars, or put them in touch with you so you can possibly work a similar deal.

Justin, I'm the Deputy Chief/Training Officer for a small combination Fire Department in the Golden area. We use cars/trucks/buses for extrication training.
