Post Looking for a trailer
You know when you find a deal on craigslist on something you had been considering buying for a long time, but the timing was never right? But you find what you're looking for get all geared up to go look at this item and most likely buy it to find out 20 minutes before you leave that it just sold...Kicking yourself you didn't go sooner, you are now more determined than ever to get the job done? Well that's me. Had been thinking about upgrading my trailer for some time now. Since I have a pop-up now that I will pull behind the car hauler someday, I am looking to upgrade sooner than later.

Found a heck of a deal yesterday. 18ft, 14k trailer in good condition for $2500. Someone bought it 1/2hr before I could get out there. buzzkill!

So on the hunt again and wanted to see if you guys knew of any good sources. Leaning more towards used but good condition because they are cheaper, but would consider new if the price was awesome.

What I am looking for:
16-18ft (prefer no dove, but either way)
Bumper Pull
10k or 14k GVRW
slide-in ramps
no sides
Bull-dog style coupler
brakes on both axles
No home brew unless very nicely done.

Similar to this:

Any ideas? Thanks!

Post Re: Looking for a trailer
Ended up ordering a new trailer. Found a guy in UT that had a pretty darn good deal and would build to suit.

18ft, (2) 7k axles with brakes, mounted spare, Bulldog coupler, bump rail, stabilizer jacks on rear, HD drop leg jack, 2" receiver in the rear with 7-way plug, & 4-d-rings

Just coated the planks with linseed oil.

Pretty happy aside from the gaps down each side of the trailer where they didn't rip a 2x6 to makeup the difference and also instead of using a 7-way pigtail like this:

They just ran the wires into the plug and then electrical taped them back to the trailer.

Otherwise I am very happy so far. Looking forward to getting to use it a bit!

Sweet looking Trailer - excited to see ya put a trailer on the new trailer. Utah definitely has a ton of trailer manufacturers. Big Tex, Pace American, Haulmark, etc. have plants in Utah.
