50oz 164 tooth flex plate
Does any one know were to get one?I have called auto parts stores and they said they can only look up the vehicles and years.I am using a 88 mustang engine with a c4 transmission.I have a flexplate that came with the engine will it work? and it looks like this, where as my original one has circle holes. Also can I use 88 flywheel bolts on a flex plate?Napa said i could and sold me them.

Flex plate bolts are much shorter than flywheel bolts. I would think you'd be able to find those locally though.
What engine did that flex plate come off of? If it came from a 1980 or older 302 or 289 or any year 351 it will not work. It doesn't look like a 50 ozs flex plate.
I can get you a correct 50 oz flex plate for $35.

the flex plate came with the engine its a 1988 h.o and no part store has the flex plate bolts. The only one who did was napa and they say flywheel bolts ,but the guy said they will work.I still have my old ones on my old engine should I just use those?and will they fit?its a 1974 302 engine.

The old ones will fit. Flywheel bolts will not.
You have to be a hundred percent sure on the balance of that flex plate or you're going to end up taking it apart again to replace it. It may have come with your engine but it doesn't sound like it was bolted to it.

The flexplate will only go on one way even though it doesn't look like it.
