Re: Stolen 1973 Bronco- New Mexico
Hey - just a word of caution about New Mexico and title's. I don't want anyone getting burned buying a vehicle with a NM title.
I lived in ABQ for 17 years, left in 2012. The DMV has major problems handing out NM vehicle titles to known stolen vehicles.
Vehicle's were stolen in ABQ and were issued new titles and plates, and the vehicle continued to be driven for years in town (until the original owner spotted it) are examples.
The DMV office at Rio Bravo and Coors ABQ had the entire office staff fired 3X times for these problems.
So what I'm saying if you run across a Bronco with a NM title, might want to run the VIN to see if its stolen, the title could be real but issued falsely.
I used to sell a lot of vehicles to Colorado folks while in ABQ as the market is less in NM than CO.
I'm glad the owner of the stolen Bronco recovered it.
J.E.
