Its great exposure. Of course some people are bitching. CB is a funny place. There are lots of people who don't understand that without tourists they couldn't or wouldn't want to live there. They want nothing to change, and noone to visit or move there, "Melasters".
We are at an economic disadvantage, due to our location. And because of that, I don't think we will ever grow into a monstrosity resort. I feel we need to take advantage of opportunities to expose our town to potential customers. Plus its a weekend that wouldn't normally be busy, now the hotels in Gunnison are getting overflow from CB.

about what I'm seeing on the news & FB.Some part of me would like to go up and see the spectacle. Just because stuff like this doesn't happen around here much. Two of the first 3 Winter X-games were held in CB, I remember spending the whole weekend up in CB. They weren't the event they are now, but it was cool & fun, for a twenty something. If I was twenty-something now, I'd be up there right now. But, now, I'm sure I'd get tired of it quick. Probably before I could park my car.
