I am looking to do a family cage for my Bronco and don't have the fab/welding skills to do it myself. That being said I have been looking at the Bronco Hut family cage as an option. Does anyone have one? If so how do you like it? Looking for other options since Bronco Hut turn around times seem to be awful. Also looked at Wild Horses but it just looks giant and the shipping was more then I care to spend. |

The Protofab cage sold by Bronco Hut is a quality piece. The only thing I don't like are the two stiffener bars in the rear rood area as they are head knickers for rear seat passengers. I will end up cutting mine out. If you can take advantage of the ones they keep in stock you avoid the expensive freight from AZ. |

I didn't realize it was a Proto Fab cage, that is good to know. Are you talking about the overhead bars in the center on the front and rear? The Bronco Hut website says they are optional so maybe I should leave them out. |

The other option to seriously consider is a custom cage. The price isn't that different from the Protofabs and you can have it built however you want. Addicted Offroad in Ft. Collins does good work, as does Crawlertech 4x4 in Denver and Brucker Bros in Longmont. Last cage I know of that was done by Addicted was around $1000 for a nice one. |

Danhall, i think that angle is to clear flipping down the soft top frame. It is a potential head banger for sure, but they are willing to tweak in dealings we had with Eric. May or may not be answer, but they are good dudes to work with. Dave |

Going to check out D and C in the near future although I am leaning toward the Bronco Hut cage at this point. I suppose I need to get back on top of stuff and get my steering and brakes back together. |

I tried 3 separate ProtoFab cages from the Bronco Hut and each didn't fit quite correctly. I'm sure it has to do with the body of my truck being uneven. After that I had Scotty at Addicted Off-road build one. Here it is...and it turned out awesome. http://www.addictedoffroad.com/index.ph ... cts_id=295 |

I like the cage by Addicted Offroad, wish I had seen that post sooner, I already committed to getting the Bronco Hut cage. Guess we will have to see how it goes at this point. I checked out D and C and I think I am to have them do some work for me other than the cage. |
