Anyone know anything about Toronto eh?

Anyone know anything about Toronto eh?

Postby Jesus_man » Fri Feb 15, 2019 8:17 am

So in summer of 2020 my wife will be applying to dental radiology schools, and we found out there is one in Toronto so I am trying to dig up any information on the area. We are a family of 4. Kids are 8 & 5 now.

I did a little research and the weather doesn't seem horrible, but I found out it is the 5th largest metro area in North America. I really lost interest after that. But I need to do my due diligence as if the school is as good as it sounds, I may have to sacrifice some of my comfort for the greater good!

Thanks!

I was up there for work a couple of times. (in the winter)

It seemed like a typical northeastern city. That cold dampness and high wind cut right through you. Winter is real hard on cars up there. Expect corrosion issues.

I'm not much of a big city guy, so I didn't care for it, but I imagine if you're use to city life, it's not that much different than any other place. The people were nice enough.

I am not a city guy by any means. So I tend to avoid them. We usually live quite a ways away from work so we can have a little space.

As for winters, sounds like we have here. Heavily salted roads and humid freezing winds!

I do love me some Timmy's tho... One franchise closed down here about a year ago and it was devastating for me and my daughter! LOL

Thanks for your input.

Prolly the CLEANEST big city I’ve ever been to! Nice folks around, but they have more than their fair share of weirdo’s! The public use of illicit drugs is what has kept me away for years. I spent the first 36yrs of my life in Michigan, so I’m pretty familiar with Toronto!

I appreciate the input. Big city does put it down near the bottom of my list. I really don't want to end up paying for storage for my truck, trailer and bronco.
