sniper efi on 351w help

[la hi]

I am trying to run the wizard on the sniper efi. At the end of the menu I get an error message it did not work. Now I have tried this many times and get the same message. Error 21 appears at the top of the screen.
When I turn it on and go to home I get a message in red at the bottom "searching for ECU"
Any body out there than can help me?
Holly Sniper efi tech support is jammed and I have not been able to get though.

Just a shot in the dark, but does your ignition have to be on to reach the ECU just as if you were reading codes??
