Leed front brake disc conversion kit

66 U14(mfg 1/66), bp408, sniper, 700r4, PB, PS not sure of the rear end, lifted 2.5, body 1".

My drum brakes are next to new and they stop the truck. I have a hard time keeping it from going when in gear and the brake depressed.

I am looking at the Leed knuckle brake kit for the front conversion to disc brakes. Do you have any references as to how this kit works out in the end.

Should I go with something else? Or keep the drums and press harder?

I am not familiar with that kit. I did the Tom's Bronco swap probably almost 10 years ago now and it is still going strong. It is a big improvement-- and I recently went from the standard vacuum booster PB to Hydroboost and it is unreal how much better my braking is.

Most of the Bronco Vendors sell a GM front disc brake conversion kit. It does require you to grind a small area off of a D30 (can't remember if this was also required for a D44 but I think so -- it is not difficult and the instructions are pretty good). BUT-- if this kit uses FORD parts-- which it sounds like they do and they also say no grinding required-- that is probably a good thing.

Secondly-- the only other thing you may need/want is a longer brake line from your H-block to the axle to account for your lift. https://www.wildhorses4x4.com/product/F ... rake_Hoses
