Front end Bushings replacement dilemma...

Postby laffycaffi » Sat Apr 22, 2017 5:45 pm

So I'm currently in the weeds in a project to replace the front end bushings. Currently I've got my front axle freed up, shock and springs out, etc...

Was just about to hit the mouse button that would have charged my card and had a James Duff bushings kit sent over when I started thinking... "Maybe I should just upgrade to a 2.5" lift" (I'm currently stock and running 33's which seem to fit fine with no reai issues).

Also the shocks I have (and steering stabilizer) have all seen better days and I probably need to replace those, too.

I guess I'm asking, "What would you do?"

Ha, well I left out one important piece of information: I'm in desperate need of new seats. That extra $300 sure could go to a set of used seats is all I'm thinking....

So let's tweak the question: What would you do with an extra $300: LIFT IT? or Find some new seats?

I'd do whatever would contribute the most to all-day trail comfort. Probably seats, but I don't know how sacked out your suspension is.

Decided I can wrangle up some new seats any time, but I have all this crap taken apart. I'm going to lift it.

Just ordered a Wild Horses 2.5" and pretty pumped to finally get some extra clearance.

I'll see how I like the 2.5 susp first. I don't like Broncos too tall, although if that is what you have, I like the way yours looks. We'll see!

I have a 3.5 Suspension lift using WH products and a 1" body lift. It makes some of the mods and work under the body easier to do.

I'm running a 2 1/2 inch suspension lift and a 2" body lift and like the way it holds the road
