Radiator question

Postby Justin » Thu Apr 12, 2018 1:58 pm

Anyone know the max thickness that the 4 core radiator brackets can hold? I'm trying to decide between the 3 and 4 core Champion radiators, with one being 2" thick and the other being 2.75". My brackets measure at right about 3" wide, as I had to upgrade to hold my old 3 core Champion rad. I don't know how much flex there needs to be to prevent damage as the body moves when wheeling. Here's the ones I'm looking at if it's of any use:

If I remember correctly, the 3-core Champion is as thick as a 4-core copper. I think I had to replace my old radiator supports with the 4-core ones when I went to the 3-core Champion. I'm not sure what you would do if you went to 4-core Champion.

I think you have to move the radiator mounts to the other side of core support.

Yes, the 3 core champion requires the 4 core copper bracket, which is why I had to switch. Trying to figure out if they'll fit the 4 core Champion radiator. In part, the extra 3/4" may keep me from having to extend the fan shroud since I'm running Explorer serp parts which sit farther back.
