Throttle Body Position

Postby Strike2 » Thu May 24, 2018 12:51 pm

I have a 96 Explorer EFI set up and was checking clearance for the throttle body and the hood will not close in the OEM position (pic1) is there any reason that I shouldn't rotate it 180 degrees? (pic 2).

I took that EGR stuff off of mine and ran the throttle body straight off the riser/plenum.

The one with an EGR has a hole in the center of the lower that you should plug. I tapped and screwed a pipe plug in it. The ones without an EGR don’t have the hole.
