What's your voltage with 4g alternator?

I start out at 13.5ish and when I start turning on the fan, lights, radio ect... it drops below 12.5 or lower. I did a test with my scanner with the obd2. It said 13.21. The alternator is a rebuild from autozone. It has been this way sense the first start in January. When I let it sit it is always at 13.5ish when I start it. I have taurus fan and that takes .5 volts as soon as I turn it on and it never kick back up.

I was thinking bad regulator, but ????

What voltage is everyone else getting out of these 4g alternators?

I am seeing 14v no matter what I have on and running. Even with the taurus fan it stayed at 14v. But I had mine built by a buddy in loveland. It is a 200amp alternator.

You should always ideally see 14.4 volts if the alternator is charging. Any lower it’s possible you have belt slip or bad alternator. Reman won’t necessarily mean it’s good. Maybe take it back and try another or check your belt tension.

I went over to D&D72 (John)s house and looked at his. I dont have a 4 gauge wire hooked up. I'll hook 1 up tomorrow and see if that helps. I had to guess on the belt size because I added an ac delete pulley to the serpentine setup. Maybe its not the right 1.
