Rear Seat???

Postby CamTheRam17 » Sat May 02, 2020 11:05 pm

Hey, I don’t know if anyone had tried this but I have an original rear seat I’d like to mount but I’d also like to have no back seat so does anyone have any ideas for a quick release rear seat using the factory mounting holes?

It's 4 bolts plus seat belt mounts, so it's fairly quick release. I have not seen anyone with a stock seat make something like that, but I am sure it's out there.

The first picture is the set up I had in my Bronco years ago, I just welded the Clevis (?) shaft upside down onto the stock rear seat bolt so it was sticking up through the seat frame and then just a cotter pins holding it in on all 4 corners...

The next 2 pictures...Would something like this work? These are expensive and the price is per piece so we’re talking around $200 bucks (for 8 pieces parts!) and I don’t think that’s worth it.

Would anyone know where to get something close to this set up (Last 2 pics) for way cheaper?

I used something like this: https://www.amazon.com/Special-Products ... 02&sr=8-27 with some lynch pins and a couple washers. I just went down to a local tractor store and picked them up.
