Your alternator bracket is the oddball bracket that was used with a power steering pump above it. Common on early power steering conversions. To make the adapter work you need a set of stock alternator brackets.

It’s stamped Ford? Interesting. Mine is a 75- thought it came with power steering?

Will that change the belt I use?

Thermactor pump not ps pump.

I may have a old stock alternator bracket setup, I’ll look when I get home.

Anybody have thoughts on changing out the torque converter? What’s a good one to use? Mostly driver, towing some.

Stock converter would be fine with the torque of a 351.

Crank moved when I bought motor. Been inside sitting for a month. Went to turn crank- won’t budge. No plugs installed. WTH??
