4x4x2 donor box list

Postby Gunnibronco » Mon Aug 23, 2021 5:17 pm

Does anyone have the list of donor "x2" boxes for the 4x4x2 swap?

West Coast Broncos web site has been down, and they had the best list of options.

I am thinking of putting together another one and porting it before installation. I have the 78/79 box, just need the reverse worm gear.

Just about anything other than a 78-79 Bronco/F150 that uses the Ford box will have the standard rotation you are looking for.

Thanks, I forget what I used. I think it was an Explorer box, but I can't remember the year. I saved about everything else from the WCB web site, except the list of donor boxes.

I'm considering having it rebuilt/add bearing & ported by one of the go-to companies. One quoted me an extra $50 to add the reverse worm drive. It's probably less than buying one, unless I go get it at a pick-n-pull myself.

Just checked my stuff and looks like I did the same, saved manual but not the list. I used a 90's 2wd Explorer/Ranger box.

Thanks for looking.

I think the WCB site is down due to Ford litigation about the Bronco name.
