Post Colorado Association of 4WD Clubs Raffle Bronco Build
I'm sure some of you have seen our build on a few of the different forums. I was invited to come here to the new site. I'm excited to see a new club here in Colorado!

Every year the Colorado Association Of 4wd Clubs builds a raffle vehicle to raffle off. The money goes into keeping our trails open and clean here in the state and across the nation. For the 2011 raffle vehicle my club, Rock Solid Offroad has volunteered to do the build. We decided on the Classic Bronco back in February of this year. With a lot of work we found a good clean rust free Bronco to build. Since then I have been gathering parts and getting vendors on line help build this up to a one of a kind Bronco. So far it is going great. We are a little behind schedule because we were hoping to get The Bronco complete before January. We'll see how it goes, but we are planning on having tickets go on sale early in the New Year.

The picture below is of The Bronco the day we purchased it.

This is going to be the 2011 Raffle Vehicle Tickets won't be available untill Jan. 2011
The 2010 Raffle Vehicle is a 1998 Jeep Cherokee w/5.5" TnT lift on 33's with lots of goodies. Tickets should be ready for it soon.

We have a little more to do tomorrow before we take it up to Nemesis on monday. We need to cut a larger hole in the floor for the tripple sticks and get some longer bolts for the body lift.

We installed the starter from BC Broncos, new body mounts from Daystar, body lift from M.O.R.E., used our Stage 8 locking header bolts, used lots of new bolts from Fastenal and made our bracing from the steel donated by Penrose Steel.

Thanks Poison Spyder!!

Rest assured there will be no junior high school debate over the price/cost of that custom cage build here on CCB.

I've been checking up on the thread at CB.com, since finding out you guys were building a truck for raffle. Funny thing is I actually suggested the same thing with a '66 Roadster I have right now on the exact same day I found your thread!

Anyhow, great looking build you guys are doing and always a pleasure to have another Colorado owner on the board.

Just found out today that the headers we have are not going to work. The driverside is right where the front drive shaft needs to be. Anyone want to trade?

You guys are sick in the head!!!

But in a good way icon biggin

That is going to be one Bad Motha.

And the cage? well crap. talk about outside the box thinking, diggin it.

maybe I could send you my truck in case you make any mistakes on stuff you build for this one, you could just put them on my truck.
With work like that I am guessing your mistakes might be better than what I do on purpose at times.
Good work and keep us posted on tickets, as I will be buying a chunk of them.

The Bronco is going to be on display tomorrow in Denver at the Toys For Tots event. This is being held at the Jefferson County Fair Grounds.

The cage is back in, along with a few other goodies and it has a fresh set of meats on it also. Go check it out and let me know what you think.

That's the sickest cage concept I've ever seen. Love the integrated dash and controls. I think that cage is worth more than my whole truck...ha! Nice work...can't wait to see the final version.

Yes, that cage is awesome, but no Entourage, no new pics. The Bronco is far from done, it is sitting on 37's and the cage is bolted in but with only 1 bolt per corner, seats are in but no harnesses, no radiator etc. You have everything we copuld picture here in this thread. Let me tell you, that is going to be one seriously sweet rig when finished. And you all can purchase raffel tickets but it is going to live in my garage.... just like all those winning loto tickets I have purchased over the years...

We do have a lot of work left to do. We have most of the parts but are just waiting to get it back down to us to start working on it again. I think things are going to start moving along quick now.

I am supposed to get some more pictures soon from the Toys For Tots run. If I get some more I will post them up.

I saw you were looking for ideas on what to do with the aluminum. I say you leave it bare. Looks nice and clean that way. Maybe take all those stock markings off, but leave it bare and unshiny.

We have to build a crossmember for the transmission and transfer cases and then we will pull every thing off of the frame too.

I tried to edit my donations list up in the first post but for some reason its all messed up. I will have to work on it later and see what I can do. I tried to cross post it from another site but all I get is just the html codes. But for now here is this. I have added some to this list so I have to get to that also. Oh it's a lot of work keeping all of this going.

Post Re: Colorado Association of 4WD Clubs Raffle Bronco Build
I've comitted to the windshield and install. I seen a tickle in the bumper build about windshields. That price is a good price so if someone could hook me up for the contact and ability to get one somehow for the good buddy price I would appreciate it.

We got a little work done today. I must say if this was a stock Bronco the Painless kit would be a piece of cake. With all of the extra stuff, like the aftermarket steering colum and digital gauge, it makes it a bit more of a challenge.

That is going to be one of the baddest Broncos anywhere! You guys have gone completely over what I expected. Just beautiful.

I get to touch it tomorrow. I will be installing the windshield. I will rub the magic on it so my ticket is drawn.
