Drive shaft shop in Colorado Springs
This morning a low level problem became a very serious one. Had a little vibration when not under load which quickly became a lot of vibration and popping when not under load. Climbed under the truck and found I've thrown a weight from the rear drive shaft. Also, looks as though I need to pick up some new U joints.
Need a recommendation for a good drive shaft shop in the springs to get everything balanced out. Also need some part numbers for ALL the U joints in the Bronco. Going to swap them all out now that I've had at least one go bad.

Drive Line Service down on Sierra Madre Street.
907 South Sierra Madre Street Colorado Springs, CO 80903-4233 (719) 634-2548
I had them do my front drive shaft. They had to replace a CV joint for me too & did a good job for a reasonable price.

Pretty decent crew of people there. The girl behind the counter and I talked a bit about Broncos. Her husband had one when they were younger and she has been trying to get him to buy another.

I'd also like to throw in: Drivetrain Industries 4275 Northpark Drive Colorado Springs, CO 80907-4220 (719) 260-7992
Talk to Tim and let him know J.D. Myers sent ya.
I have gotten one shaft rebuilt at DLS and while they did a fine job, it was quite expensive. Later, had to get the same service done and my dad told me to try Drivetrain. Tim was great to work with and saved me quite a bit of money. Just had to get a shaft lengthened and balanced and that service was just under $70.

Dropped it off Friday at 4:30 with drive line. Picked it back up Saturday at 10:30. 70 bucks balanced with one new U joint installed. I'll have to try your place next time JD. Pepsi challenge of sorts.
