Re: My Lean Saga
I'll sleep on it, but it sounds like most things have been mentioned. The only thing that I can think of is the spring bushings, and their ease or lack of deflection when a load is applied, but I think that is pretty far out there...

Re: My Lean Saga
reading through your dilema, I am wondering something. you said you have been driving on the suspension for about 6 months now? Have you flexed the suspension at all? or just street driving? I wonder if you were able to find an incline (flex ramp) of some kind and really twist it up both ways then see if it might settle in. Melissa at the hut suggested this for me when I was concerned about my forward lean. she said get it somewhere and flex it out to work the spring then see what it does?? just an .

Re: My Lean Saga
Yea....over the weekend I completely removed the front axle, realigned the radius arms (which were only about 1/8" off) and then got everything re-installed...same lean. So while I'm doing all of that I realized, if the front of the frame is on level stands, the rear of the frame should be even as well....well it's not...still leans 3/4"....so this logically means the frame is twisted.
Needless to say I'm a bit pissed at the "frame shop" I paid $100 to tell me that the frame is straight. Going to take it to Bear Frame and Axle and have it pulled I guess.

Re: My Lean Saga
dang man thats a bummer. but it ounds like you want it fixed and whatever the cost it will be worth it. nobody else might ever see it lean, but it bugs you and that is the worst because everyone else will tell you" its no that bad" but drives you crazy.
take it and get it fixed then go back to the shop that told you it was straight with your bill and say you want your $100 back. worst case they say no but if you show you had it tweaked straight then they might work with you, maybe $50 back or something.
its worth a visit. good luck

Yea.....that's the plan...I'm going to take it to Bear Frame & Axle today and have them pull it. Then get in touch with the other shop and try to get my $ back.

Re: My Lean Saga
You said the body mount pucks are all the same... measure the perches on the frame, and see if the are the same height?? I had this problem when I did my first build years ago. Whether it was built wrong or a PO miss hap, the rear perches on the driver side measured lower than the pass side.
Just my 2 cents

Re: My Lean Saga
I'm going to examine the leaf perches and mounts. It's the frame to axle measurement that's off from side to side so that body mounts wouldn't affect that. Thanks.
