So who has experience with carbs and superchargers?
I need to try and get the infamous blown Bronco running ok for transport and need to try and get it this weekend. I've got a meeting I need to attend this morning from around 10 to 2 then tomorrow is the meet n greet. I'd like to look into it tomorrow since this afternoon is going to be cold and miserable. I'm fairly certain the fuel is the problem and I want to see if both tanks are empty then put in some fresh gas. I just want to make sure that I don't do something wrong. I'm not sure if starting it is any different than a non SC'd engine. EFI not a problem but knowing how carbs are and then add in that Dyer's blower?

Let me know if you've got any experience or am I worried for nothing? burnout

The carbs are made for a blower, but there shouldnt be any issues unless there is something wrong with the carburetors themselves. I would put fresh fuel in with some STP fuel stabilizer and see if she cleans out after running for a while, just dont rev the engine up on start up (you shouldnt do that with any engine anyway) to allow the oil to circulate and warm up.

Check oil level, and coolant level to make sure there isnt anything odd there.

There isnt anything else I can think of right now besides the timing needs to be retarded so if you check it and it seems behind, thats going to be ok, and advancing it can cause serious damage.

Thanks for the info Shawn. That's what I want to do is just add some fresh to it and try and get the old out. You can definitely smell the old gas right now in the garage.

OK see ya in the morning son.
