Moving the Rear Axle
My rear axle is not centered in the wheel well. I know a few guys have moved their rear axles back 1". Is it possible to move it back 2"?

Re: Moving the Rear Axle
Cool - I will move it back the one inch in hopes that is enough to center it up. Thanks man.

Re: Moving the Rear Axle
Not sure you'd want to go down this road, but couldn't this be done with a set of custom leaf packs that have the centering and lower leaves moved 2" towards the rear of the pack?

Re: Moving the Rear Axle
Wouldn't it be easier to just cut more sheetmetal in the front?

Re: Moving the Rear Axle
I agree with Phil. Cut the sheet metal so it's centered.

Re: Moving the Rear Axle
Justin - that can be done! Joe Lougee has a custom set that has the axle 6" back from stock. Alcan did it for him.
I'll bet the 1" makes the difference Chad. Try it and see.

Re: Moving the Rear Axle
As my wife likes to say...............another 1" would make all the difference in the world............. so I moved it back 1" and she has been satisfied ever since
