OEM Radio Rebuilder?
Anyone know of a shop that will rebuild/upgrade the OEM AM radio? I want to keep the dash stock but the OEM unit needs some better internals. Thanks.

I am not a big fan of LMC Truck Parts but this is kinda cool,

Yea...I've checked those out. I actually want to keep the oem head unit intact and just have the internals rebuilt. I may just crack it open and see if I can do it myself.

Back in my Mustang days there was a shop that would rebuild and update your OEM, the front looked the same but had new capes. Try looking in a Mustang mag and see if there is an ad.

Yea...I found a couple shops that do this. They want $400 though! So I'm looking into doing it myself.

Hmm, I'm looking forward to your future posts - I'm in the same boat with my radio.

Re: OEM Radio Rebuilder?
I found a shop that will do it for $160 but it does not include adding FM and all that. I think it's a good deal though as they upgrade the entire internals. I will probably be sending it in soon. I also just emailed this company for a quote.....I think they may be a bit cheaper. http://wardsclassiccarradiorepair.com/index.html
