Post C bushing question
Hey guys I am trying to replace all my bushings atm. I am having the hardest time trying to figure out how the bushings off. I know I would have to take the lower shock off. Would I have to take the spring out? Or easier to just drop the whole front end to make it easier? Thanks guys

yep, you are basically going to drop the whole front axle to change the c-bushings. I'd first remove or loosen the rear nut on the radius arms to give it some wiggle room, then you are going to remove the springs. When you do that, let the axle hang down to take the load off the springs or it can hurt you. Once the spring is out, there are 2 bolts in the bottom of the spring cup to remove that hold the cup to the c-clamps. Take those out and you can then start to take the 4 bolts holding the front clamp to the rear radius arm.

I still have the air bags inside the springs. Not sure if that was stock or not. Would the bolts be under those?

Yeah, not stock and likely will have to come out, or at least lifted off the spring pad. Of the two bolts that should be inside your spring retainer, one should thread into the front c-clip cap and the other the rear part of the arm.

Again, this is stock, so there is no tellin' what you have.

I've seen em a few times, my brothers 74' had em, just have to lift them up when the axle is at full droop or unbolt the top first then spin the coil out of the lower cup after cracking the lower cup bolts loose, that's how I always take the coils out

Interesting, esp for the guy with a lot of weight on the front end. Do they still hold air & do you want to sell them?

The driver side holds air but the passenger side is missing the value to fill them it up. I will give them away once I get them off. Lol hoping to get it done sometime this weekend.
