351 stock style alternator bracket help

Postby rtreads » Wed Jan 05, 2011 2:19 pm

While I am waiting to get the parts for an explorer serp setup I need to fix the lacking alt bracket. The PO just has the thru bolt at the top of the alt going into the head. But this bolt is lacking the triangle support bracket that braces from the water pump.
Does anyone know a place local to get this bracket? I would like to get it soon and make the meeting on the 15th.

Thanks guys!

Where abouts is local for you? In COS, I'd head to the U Pull and Pay to see if they have any in the yard.

I was thinking about that. But we both know what that will lead to....

Explorer serp parts!

I was just looking at the cheap chrome one I ordered from summit (that does not fit) I think I can just redrill it with the top bolt in the right location and cut off the excess material. Then paint it black... my bronco doesnt like shiny chrome.
