OK my next project is to move my electric fuel pump ( carter p4070) closer to the rear tank . i wont be able to use my aux tank but thats ok i have the 23 gal in the rear. where can i find some steel line and what size do i need ? i'm guessing steel is better than that stock plastic fuel line right? .

Steel is a little better from a longevity and fire/abrasion resistance standpoint, but the difference isn't that meaningful. Where it's got major advantages is cost if you plan to run EFI, as high pressure hose is expensive. For a mostly stock rig I'd be tempted to just run plastic hose since it'll be way easier to route. I used 3/8" hard line for mine and bought a 30' roll for about $35 from the NAPA in south Boulder. If you call around you'll find someone with a roll in stock near you.

The Bronco vendors sell pre bent kits for like $100. You can also get rolls of tubing on Jegs for around $40. I think 5/16 is typical unless you need more fuel delivery (say for a higher HP engine) and you can go with 3/8. I just did mine with 3/8 main line and 5/16 return line on my EFI swap.

While not 100% related. I was told by a friend with pretty extensive knowledge on the subject that using high pressure hose in the engine bay, particularly close to the engine, will prevent vapor lock and isn't subject to the same degradation that other fuel hose is. Not sure if anyone else has any experience with it but I figured I'd bring it up.
