Re: 99 super duty hydroboost question
Also on the super duty master cylinder does it matter which port goes to front or rear brakes? The mc seems to be the same size reservoirs

Re: 99 super duty hydroboost question
I haven't seen the Superduty h-boost up close, so I don't know how it would bolt to the firewall. My Mustang h-boost does. Will the m/c reservoirs clear the hood?
I was given bad advice at one time and started messing with front/rear m/c connections. I believe all m/c use the port closest to the firewall as the front brakes, and the port furthest from the firewall (closest to the grill) as the rear. It matters because the m/c will apply pressure to the front brakes before the rears (or so I was told). I looked at a bunch of cars as they went through our body shop, and all the info I read confirmed.

Re: 99 super duty hydroboost question
Rear port goes to the front brakes and the front port goes to the rear brakes. Was the superduty rear disc or drum? If drum and you're still drum you'll be okay, if disc and you're drum you'll have a slight issue with the rear brakes never being able to be pumped up. If it was drum and you have disc you'll need to pull the residual pressure valve before installing otherwise your rear brakes will drag and heat up quickly. I can't help with the mounting of the booster as I have never dealt with it. I can say you will likely be messing with the pedal pushrod length to make sure the brakes fully release and you can bleed the system.

99 super duty hydroboost question
Oh great my hydroboost setup the rear port goes to the rear brakes and front one front. I haven't noticed any real issues but doesn't mean it couldn't be biased as I have a proportion valve for the rear. Did it really matter?
