The ball joints are frozen in it. I have tried to use penetrating oil and nothing. I tried to heat it up and use a big hammer and still nothing not even a little movement. Any ideas of what else might work.

Hey Matt you need to pickup my ball joint press kit. It's like a big C clamp with press cups.

If you want to drive I'll be happy to let you use my 20 ton shop press. But horseplay is on the right track, I'll add that if you cycle the heat with cooling and a good beating they should eventually loosen up.

Not sure where you're located, but I can offer up my press as well.

Looking for a carrier and ring and pinion with 4.09 or 4.10 gear ratio. Open diff is fine. If anyone has any idea where to get one. I have got prices from 200.00 up to 700.00. I'm a broke white man and can't afford to go new. shrug

Got a lead on a D44 with 4.09 gears along with the whole housing today. He is asking $350. Sound fair?
Plan on going out to take a look at it and see what condition It is in tomorrow morning.
And if I do decide to pick it up I will have a extra housing with 3:54 gears.

Looks like my gears are 3.5. That price isn't great, but isn't terrible either
