Touch-up spray paint

Postby phyler » Mon May 22, 2017 8:13 am

Anyone know of a place on the north end that does custom spray paint? I'm sure Painter Supply does but that's a 45+ minute drive for me. Boulder/North Denver/Longmont would be a lot closer.

I need to find the ever elusive Hot Ginger Metallic (Paint Code Z) for my 75. Want to use that as I put in pieces just to try and keep it looking right.

Not opposed to having paint mixed up to shoot but figure a can or two might be a lot cheaper.

This might be no help at all, but when I worked for NAPA, they could custom mix auto paint and package it in a spray can. Not sure about your exact code though.

I ordered some spray paint, clear, and a touch up pen from http://www.automotivetouchup.com. I haven't used it yet, but ordered based on some good reviews over at CB.com

I called them based on the thread over there. They can't do my paint code.

I'll try Napa and a few of the other places. I have some good sheet metal with the original color to try and match it if needed.

I hadn't. They don't list the hot Ginger metallic though. I'll look up a local paint store. Better chance of matching it probably.

I've got a work site near Painter's supply. If you can't find anything closer and can get the order taken care of I could probably get it to Thornton for you.

Thanks, I'm going to run down on Saturday. I need to hit the steel yard anyways and I can do that while they mix up the paint.

We use Napa in Milliken. Always have good luck but it is also newer stuff.
