Motor for my 75

Postby Backcountryrenegade » Sat Apr 21, 2018 11:18 am

OK everyone- thank you very much for your help and ideas! Apparently I haven't completely pissed of ALL the Bronco gods- I got a small check for my consulting business unexpectedly and the wife says I can use it for a motor! I've been super-lucky to have the Colorado Classic Bronco guys and a buddy I bought the Bronco from originally offer to help install so....With a budget of somewhere between 1500 and 2000 what are your suggestions? What are things I should look for in a used motor? I'm not a motor guy as you can tell so looking for "buying a used motor for dummies" kind of thing... Again- it's a driver, looking for power in the mountains especially at altitude and possibly some towing of my pop-up camper now and again. I hate doing 50 up the passes. Unless there's a combo deal somewhere I can't do the motor and trans- it's a C4 today. WHatever I do needs to be BOLT IN- at least 90% as I don't want to overly burden the guys willing to help me do the install- I 'm really grateful for their help and I don't want to be that guy. Thanks for the suggestions!

Found this option if I can get the price down a bit- supposedly 0 miles on rebuild, complete with Harness. Thoughts?
