Christmas Caravan for Kids 2021

Postby BroncoRaider » Wed Nov 10, 2021 1:42 pm

The Christmas Caravan for Kids toy drive is Saturday, December 4 at Lincoln Tech off I-70 & Havana. We’ve hosted breakfast for this in the past and included a white elephant exchange prior to dropping off toys. Is anyone interested in doing this again? We are happy to host again, I just need to know a headcount for breakfast.

Tim,

What time do you think you’ll open your doors? If early enough I can make a donation, but won’t make the main event.

We’re 10 days away from this. So far I have the Ecks, and Rox, with Kinder doing a drive by. Anyone else going to join us?

Wish I could but have kids basketball games to attend. Would have been nice to get out for this.

So quite the turnout this year! Tim-- should we try to post this up over on FB too? If it remains just the 3 of us-- are we still going to do the white elephant?

Well, I’m not feeling so hot and right now it looks like it would only be 3 of us, so I’m going to call off the Caravan for this year. I’ll try to be better about giving more notice next year.

Is there still interest in doing a quick get together and donate?

The weather looks good and I was thinking of grabbing bfast burritos from the Casa Mariachi Food Truck (http://mariachifoodtruck.net) and meeting near Bluff Lake of Havana at 8am.

Jeff and Mike, you guys were the only others I believe, what do you think?

Well, I was planning on skipping it after seeing Tim's message and the lack of interested participants. The Toy Drive doesn't start until 10am so what would you suggest we are going to do for 2 hours? We have a Christmas Party to attend this evening so 8am sounds pretty ambitious at this point, lol.

Ha, we could start by looking lovingly at each other’s Broncos!

I thought it opened at 9am, oh well, the Grinch wins this year.

There’s always next year.
