16 June 2012- BWB @ the Furniture Row NASCAR team facility

Postby akaFrankCastle » Sat Jun 16, 2012 2:00 pm

Burritos, Broncos, and Brother(and sister)hood.

I think I counted 14 Early Broncos, 1 full size, 1 Ranger, 2 Super Dutys, and a LOT of conversation and smiles.

Entourage surprised us all with his announcement that he will be leaving soon for Arizona, where he will be enjoying a career change.

Badlands (Steve) was presented the June 2012 Member of the Month award.

And Mike Root took us on a tour of the Furniture Row NASCAR racing team facility.

Here's a link to my pitiful photo stash from my iPhone.

Great breakfast and tour. Cool stuff. Thanks Mike! Nice meeting some new folks and connecting faces to screen names....Gregg, Frankcastle, 66crawler, etc.
Jeff's blue 74 Bronco is so beautiful, Chad's is a sculpture, that Stroppe Bronco, very original, is just amazing. Sorry I've forgot your name....too old. Ha!
Really sad to see Chad go. Since zillacon rescued me from the Classic Bronco board, I have seen Chad as a huge part of this club and he will be missed.
Another good morning hanging out with folks who like these amazing old rigs.

Pauls is a Denver actually. It would have been Stroppe if Stroppe didn't cancel their orders in '75.

Thanks. See Phil, I have to rely on the real Bronco authorities to get the info right. I didnt know the difference. Paul's Bronco is a very cool Denver Bronco.
I need to get one of those Bronco History books I have seen and do some homework. Ha!

What a fun time. Getting access to that shop was so fun. For Mike, it was just another day at the office, but for everyone else, it was awesome to see behind the scenes of how the big boys of Nascar compete 40+ Weekends a year. Thanks to Mike for the grand tour of the facility and sharing his insights into competing in the Sprint Cup.

It was great to meet 347, who drove all the way from Summit County. A lot of members brought family members and that made it fun. Thanks to the CasaDeJohnson Crew - they are at every event and a ton of fun. Fun to see Jeremy's sweet Lime Green Bronco with the new winch, Corbeau seats, and 10" Slots. It was a huge breakfast and fun to hangout with Bronco guys till 1 PM.

Steve (Badlands) got the well deserved honor of Member of the Month. It has been fun to watch as he and Rob got his Bronco back on the road and hear about the joy owning a Bronco can bring.

It was great to see everyone today.

What a great time

Amazing to see a real live NASCAR race shop in Colorado.

I have been back to see many of the big glamour team's shops in Mooresville and I gotta say I am really impressed with this grass roots shop. Very impressed with the amount of inventory (finished and in process cars) and that they have all the tools including a post suspension simulator and their own dyno.

THANK YOU MIKE AND CHAD FOR PUTTING THIS TOGETHER !

CONGRATS to Steve for member of the month ! Your ride is looking awesome and I am glad you are getting to enjoy it now.

The Johnson's had a GREAT time today. This was the first time our daughter came with us to an event and I think she's hooked! I want to say thanks again to Mike for giving us the grand tour, NASCAR anything is a pretty rare treat for all of us that live left of the MIssissippi. I was pretty bummed to hear that Chad is going to be leaving us soon. Were going to miss you Chad.

I brought my dad and several friends out to this event, they all loved it. Mike, thank you very much for setting this up. I learned a ton.

Chad - best of luck in Phoenix brother. Keep in touch when you get there.

I was bummed we couldn't make it. I was hoping to bring my father-in-law since he used to race stock cars back in the day. We just had too much stuff going on Saturday banghead
Chad - bummed to hear that you are leaving. I've only been a part of the club a short while and you seem to be a valuable team member. Good luck in AZ.
