Christmas Carvan For Kids/CCB Christmas Breakfast- 1DEC12

Postby akaFrankCastle » Wed Nov 07, 2012 11:59 am

On December 1st, CCB will participate in the Christmas Caravan For Kids. https://www.facebook.com/pages/Christmas-Caravan-for-Kids/273396342691401
For those wishing to participate in the Caravan, you will need to bring a new, unwrapped toy to donate at the finish line, the Jefferson County Fairgrounds. See the Facebook page for more information.

Additionally, we will conduct a Breakfast with Broncos at the Denny's at 565 Union Boulevard, Lakewood, CO. Breakfast will kick off @ 8:30am, providing plenty of time to eat, conduct a gift exchange, and kick tires on Broncos. We'll look to depart Denny's for the fairgrounds at 10:00am, the same time as the large organized convoys will be departing the various locations in town. This should get us to the grounds early and afford us good parking.

For those interested in the gift exchange, bring a wrapped and unlabeled present with you to breakfast. Recommended high limit for purchase is $25.00. On arrival, we'll give your gift a number and take down your name. At 9:00am, we'll start the drawing for gifts. Everyone who has brought a gift will have their name drawn from a bowl to receive a numbered gift from the stack. Sound like a fair arrangement?

I'm figuring on being at breakfast, not sure if I can make the run or not due to a previous engagement.

We should be at both - the breakfast and the run. I know Drew wants to give the RTI ramp a shot this year.

Looking forward to the breakfast this weekend and meeting people. Unfortantely the Bronco is "under repair" and will not be making an appearance quite yet. Can't make the caravan afterwards but I will bring a toy if someone could deliver it for me.

Things get too hot under the hoods we'll just pull over, shut them down, and let all the Jeepers drool as the trudge along to the finish point. icon biggin

You can count the Hockey clan in, along with several of the younger members good friends. Should be enough toys to put a decent dent in Santa's list.

(shame of it - at least on Yota in the mix.... oh the shame... :sarcasm: )

You should dress the trailer up like Santa's sleigh and put a big red light on the front of the Dirty Donk.

Had a good time, we had probably 10 or so EB's at the T4T event. We even had a few give the ole RTI ramp a try. Kinder - with his camper on no less, was the EB champ. Drew in his little pony started the trend and scored a respectable mid four hundred something (I recall 481, he says it was 461 and someone else says 427...). Chris even flexed out his brand new restoration on the ramp.

Not a ton of pictures but here is what I have:

A bunch of fun as usual, real nice day to hang out weather wise as well. Got to chat with some guys that I haven't seen more than once in a year or two. There were two Broncos in the event hall, Bill's Molly was representing the Georgetown ice racers, and a older (but very nice) build representing a off road accessory shop, it had 3 tanks!

At the event??? Not cool either way, but if it was at the Event, I will make a comment on CO4x4.org and maybe get someone to fess up if they saw something...

Yep, at the event. I am fortunate to park 'ol Kermit in the garage and the Toy's for Tots was the only time I've had it out all winter. I had it parked at Village Inn where we met for breakfast, but I was sure to be seated at the window so I could keep an eye on it. We got separated from the caravan on the way from breakfast to the fairgrounds so I had to park in the isle directly behind the CCB group. Any leads on who thought they needed my gear more then I would be great!
