July Breakfast-NASCAR!

Postby Justin » Fri Jun 28, 2013 7:54 am

For July, we've been invited back to tour the Furniture Row Racing shop. We got to do this last year and it was really cool to see how a NASCAR team makes it all happen. Anyway:

When: 7/20/13 @ 8:00
Where: Furniture Row Racing-4000 Forest St, Denver, CO 80216
How: In your Bronco, of course.
Why: Because race cars are cool!

Like last year, we'll have Santiago's Burritos available at the going rate of 2 buck each. If you know you're attending, an RSVP in this thread is helpful so that I can have a general idea of how many burritos to get. I'll make sure to bring some spares for those of you who decide at the last minute. We're looking forward to seeing there!

Looking forward to this again.

These guys have been kicking butt since Kurt Busch became their driver.

They had a special behind the scenes piece during the last race which was cool !

This was a great event last year. This Sprint Cup race shop is the only one of its kind outside of North Carolina. Even if you do not follow NASCAR, it is truly beautiful facility competing in the top NASCAR level. Plus, the new driver of the car has been a ton of fun to watch this season as he qualifies well, leads lap, passes cars, dominates, and then crashes - checkers or wreckers :D. The new driver insures the race team will always need a good painter!

I will be there-- I like the half and half -- I will take 1.

ALSO-- a little traffic info if you are coming from WEST I-70

Starting at 10 p.m. on Friday, July 19 and continuing until 5 a.m. on Monday, July 22, the ColoradoDepartment of Transportation (CDOT) will close both directions of I-70 betweenI-25 and Federal Boulevard for bridge work. During the closure, crews will demolish the existing Pecos Street bridge over I-70 and roll-in the new 2,400-ton PecosStreet bridge into its final configuration.
