COLORADO SUPER CELEBRATION

Postby mickphatmac » Wed Jan 15, 2020 7:40 am

Well I guess this makes it official, Buena Vista Colorado!!!

That means I have eight months to get my Broncos up running and ready for some serious driving!!!

Who all is going and knows the area well enough to know where to stay, camp, or hotel?

COLORADO SUPER CELEBRATION

Postby landshark » Wed Jan 15, 2020 8:13 am

I will most likely be there - lots of lodging/camping options in that area. Wondering where they are going to hold it, I suspect it might be in some leased land between Buena Vista and Salida but I guess we will see.

I'll be there for sure. Going to be interesting on how I get the Bronco and our camper down there. Going to be lots of shuffling for sure. Based on the other thread, there are a few of us that have birthdays during the event as well as some anniversaries.

I'll probably book a camping spot as soon as I can in March (6 months out) for labor day and the entire week.

I'll have a buddy with me as well.

When looking for the link I noticed that the original Bronco Super Celebration (now referred to as East) is sponsored by Ford Motor Company and Bronco Club of America (which I think is somehow sponsored by Ford - based on their FB posts).

Makes me speculate if there will be one of the new Broncos at that event (baby Bronco?) and wouldn’t It be even cooler if the real deal was at this new West event ?

Anyway, just speculating.

Dad and myself were talking about exactly that the other day. Since the reveal isn't till "spring" which I heard june at Detroit auto show then that may mean the bronco will be at super cel west just before it become available to the market.

Buena Vista for sure has some nice trails/scenic roads in the area, I'm not really sure what the "event" has to offer but I booked a place to stay.

Who all is camping? I'm planning on finding a spot for our pop-up. Trying to decide if I should just go with a campground or one of the RV parks. Benefit of the RV park is showers.

Bringing this back to the top!

I've been talking with Tom Broberg and the plan is to have both street cruises and trail rides as part of the new event. This is a bit different from the Townsend SC events where just street cruises are offered (discounting the dirt portion of the ride from Cades Cove to the Dragon). Cruises/trails will be offered on all-pavement for those not wanting to risk paint chips, combination pavement and some dirt/gravel roads, easy/moderate trails and even a couple hard trails.

Looking to give this new event a definite Colorado twist! Some of you may havel already been contacted, but we're looking for CO folks to lead and tail gun the street and trail runs. Since the Super Celebration East in Townsend TN has been rescheduled to October this is now the first SC event of the year! We may just get a big turnout! If you are interested in helping out please reply to this or send me an email at broncozinga@gmail.com.

I think this is going to be a great event! Looking forward to seeing every body in September.

You can throw my name on the list of people to help out with a trail or 2. I would certainly get up there and run whichever trail ahead of time to make sure I am familiar and most likely GPS plot as much of it as needed.

Already booked my camping spot so happy to help out. I'd want to stick to the easier runs probably due to just getting the body work done.

Thanks for the responses. If you haven't already emailed me please do so. That will give me your full name and email so that I can communicate with everyone when we get all the trails and street cruises laid out. Please include what you're willing to do - trails and/or street, lead and/or tail gun. Any trail suggestions - especially if you're very familiar with a certain trail - or street cruise destinations would be appreciated.

Thanks!
